Now situated in new premises, above the Cowes British Legion Club/Cowes Combined Club.

Cowes has quite a dynamically-changing High street. During the famous yachting festival particularly, the place is bursting with temporary retailers and eateries. However it’s not all seasonal pop-ups; there are some long term establishments, one of which in the middle of this ever-changing street is Eegon’s café. This little venue is a rare exemplar of the unreconstructed vintage style, there was a day when all cafés were like this. Most have moved on, or faded away – but not Eegon’s. This doughty survivor is still offering budget café fare with no frills, although it has now moved to newer premises.

You will see a sign advertising in detail Karen’s Choice – a substantial breakfast and drink offer, however the cafe caters for appetites of all sizes – including their famous “Big One” – only to be attempted if you’re really, really hungry, and have at least 30 minutes spare to eat it! (The record to date is 28 minutes!)

Well worth a visit….. well we like it!
